This powerful garlic press crushes cloves with ease and features a wiper blade and a handy scraping tool for easy cleaning. Just pop a clove or two inside the head and squeeze the handles to crush. To remove the crushed garlic, pull the trigger and the blade gently sweeps it free. To remove any remaining garlic or skin inside the head take out the cleaning tool, which is stored neatly on the inside of one of the handles. This features solid bristles on one side for cleaning the holes in the crushing plate and a curved tip for scraping skin from inside the head. Only Joseph Joseph could make squishing garlic cloves entertaining. It has a cute tool to remove the fibres as well. It’s a substantial garlic press, with oodles of pizzazz!

I have found this works best if not overloaded and I do peel the garlic too.

Been looking for a decent garlic crusher for ages and settled on the Joseph Joseph one, great crusher and it wipes the garlic left on with the press of a button. Only downside is, it’s a bit fiddly to clean but I’m not bothered about that too much. Good quality and great v@lie for money compared to the others I’ve had before.

I bought this to replace another, different model, Joseph Joseph garlic press that I managed to break. I went back and forth between different models and brands until finally deciding on this one, mostly because it’s described as dishwasher safe not once, but three times. It is very much not, as per the photo of the packaging. It is, though, a decent crusher. The ‘blade’ could run a tad closer to the surface, but works well so fair. Hopefully it will last longer than the previous one.
